PROJECT ESTIMATOR
EXPERIENCED + TRAINEE

Ciuffo Cabinetry is seeking a Project Estimator to produce, track, and manage job estimates for high-end custom millwork projects. This position is open to both experienced estimators and candidates willing to train. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working under tight deadlines. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who wants to grow with our company and play a key role in ensuring accurate pricing and successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate directly with the Owner, Executive Team, and Head Estimator.

  • Communicate daily with clients, architects, builders, designers, and vendors via email and phone.

  • Learn and apply company pricing procedures using Crows Nest and other estimating software.

  • Read, analyze, and interpret blueprints and specifications.

  • Perform accurate plan/field measurements and quantity takeoffs for bids.

  • Prepare and submit detailed, timely bid proposals.

  • Draft and issue contracts for acquired jobs.

  • Maintain organized databases of estimates for all projects.

  • Track and record job costs through project completion.

  • Price and issue change orders for ongoing projects.

  • Create invoices and, as needed, purchase orders or updated pricing models.

Qualifications

  • Experienced candidates: 2–5 years of residential millwork estimating (kitchens, vanities, etc.).

  • Trainee candidates: Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; willingness to learn estimating.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.

  • Drafting/design experience strongly preferred.

  • Strong computer literacy and ability to adapt to new software.

  • Experience with Crows Nest a plus.

  • Ability to take ownership of jobs from pricing through completion.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet strict deadlines under pressure.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or related field a plus.
